Yes
It was good. Great Italian food. Only one knock no bread or oil with appetizers or dinner. I do recommend if you want a well cooked meal in a nice setting.
Unfortunately we couldn't eat there, they were closed! It would have been nice to know before we came from Fredericksburg for our anniversary. The website said they were open, what a disappointing trip!!
This place was very good and both my husband and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, since it has been over a year, I don't remember what we ordered, but we did like it and we also liked the interior decoration and found it really pretty.
Grouper prepped perfectly, sides awsome,a little disconnect between kitchen and staff as appetizers came out after entrey and had to request bread and oil( from an Italian restaurant?)desserts were delicious and cocktails enjoyable.fourth visit and will definitely return!
Food was great service was just OK. Can't/won't split a large party bill either
Wonderful date night dinner. Hats off to the chef!
The web page says that the hours on a Friday night are "5:30 -until." Until what? My wife and I went to have dinner that last night (FRIDAY NIGHT) and we roll into the parking lot about 8:30 and the parking lot is empty with a truck running, and all of the dining room lights are off...ON A FRIDAY NIGHT! The place must suck if they were so sure no one in town was going to show up on a Friday night for dinner. We ended up going to Luigi's just down the street and it was GREAT!
Best restaurant in culpeper 5 stars
Excellent food, service and value.
Excellent dinner. Great service. Lovely atmosphere
Lucio is a family owned and maintained restaurant. The food is prepared in traditional Italian style. Delicious. The restaurant has a serene, classic decor that is suitable for business lunch or dinner as well as family/friends dining. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.Lucio has specials Tuesday-Thursday. Taco Tuesday, Lasagna Wednesday, Manicotti Thursday.Lucio also caters events.
This restaurant is a big favorite of mine! I don't mind the drive from Charlottesville to Culpeper, because the food, atmosphere, and wait staff are superb! I've never been disappointed! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Took my wife here for her birthday and had a great time. She loved it, I loved it = Very satisfied. Atmosphere is cozy, calm, and elegant. Service was great. Food was excellent and desert was amazing! So far for me...best restaurant in the area.
Friendly Staff and Great Food. The shrimp salad was amazing. The chicken parm was perfect. The breading was fresh with the right amount of crunch. Great flavor. My wife enjoyed the wine. We don't get out as much but will be going back. Very nice.
Good food poor service
One Of Culpeper's Finest and They do Carryout,Wonderful
Delicious food, great prices, very nice ambiance.
Surprisingly nice and classy restaurant.Although, Culpeper is a rising Little Star in terms of foodies.... This quiet, elegant classic-home-turned- restaurant, is a very lovely place for a romantic night out, a family get together or out with your friends.I encourage you to give it a try.Classic Italian foodThe food was nicely presented and in a timely manner.
I try to get to Luccio whenever I am in Culpeper. I usually bring clients here. Great food with a quiet atmosphere where you can actually have a conversation. The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating.
I'm not much of an Italian food eater but this place was great! Very friendly staff, service is fast. Intimate setting, great place to have a romantic date. We had the mushrooms with spinach and cheese and squash apple soup for appetizers ( I highly recommend both). The ravioli and their hand rolled pasta stuffed with cheese and spinach was delicious. And you have to try their chocolate mousse pie. You will not be disappointed!
Great food, nice atmosphere, and friendly staff.
Love this place, still miss Lucio, one of top three restaurants in Culpeper!
The food was excellent. Our waitress was horrible. The service has been excellent in past visits, so this was frustrating and disappointing.
Wonderful food and atmosphere
Excellent food
I really liked the place. The lunch menu was priced beautifully. The service was great. The food tasted well, and it had some flaws. The edges of the chicken were without moisture. My daughter could not cut through. She is 12,and cuts steak Fine. If it was not priced fair, I would have sent back. Their pasta side set up Is unique. They use tomatoe and Alfredo sauce. Tasted fair, I am a picky eater and was not a fan on the high contrast of acid and cream. Their bread was excellent. The decor and parking were excellent also. Would return. To give another try
Nostalgically delicious food, pretty interior, attentive staff.I dined here with my partner on a Tuesday night. We had an unnecessary reservation, as we were among 4 diners in the restaurant. The wait staff were very polite, answering my questions about the history of the restaurant and checking in on us a proper amount. We ordered two entrees: manicotti and an angel hair with meatballs. Both tasted delicious and reminded me of my childhood in an Italian-American home.Even the background music was nostalgic, with songs like "Singing in the Rain".Overall, it was a lovely experience. I hope they see more business, as they deserve it.
We have had wonderful dinners here. They do not disappoint. A little more then a change restaurant but very high quality food. Perfect date night. We plan to go here tonight!
Great food. Best Italian I've found in Culpeper. Our server could have used a bit of coaching.
Great food and service. Usually need a reservation. Lots of off-street parking. Love the almond cake dessert.
simply the greatest. no other words can describe. NEVER been let down. And incredibly reasonable for the quality of the experience. In NYC, they would charge $50 per person.
We showed up early and they opened their doors for us. Amazing vodka sauce and Amazing service. We wIll definitely stop in again.
Lasagna was quite bland, prefer more meat in the sauce.
We enjoyed our first dining experience at Lucio's for our anniversary late September. Food was excellent! Service was good, not outstanding. Parking lot and walkway into restaurant are a bit dark. May wish to install motion lights and landscape lights. We plan to dine here again. Nice jewel in Culpeper.
Ordered the lobster bisque. Bland and only finely chopped bits os lobster. Also ordered the veal Marsala. The veal was very tender but has a freezer burn under taste. The gravy was just brown graveyard with mushrooms, not even a hint of Marsala. The side of angel hair pasta had some kind of very light cheese or butter (?) with very plain tomato sauce over it. Unremarkable. No bread was served at our table, but other tables did have bread. I’m new to Culpeper and wa really looking forward to finding a real good Italian restaurant ; this is not that restaurant.
Great food...great people...super atmosphere
Server was young and had no personality...Our meal was very basic. No bread, no salad, no condiments ...just the entrée. We were not asked at one time how our meal was. Check was given… No thank you for joining us -nothing. The hostess did the most work and had the most personality. Sorry, 4.4 is way overrated 🤷🏻♀️
Wow, wish I had gone here sooner. Had an absolutely awesome dinner. Need a few more beers on the list but the wine selection was great. Prices too.
Great food and atmosphere to relax
Staff gets to know you if you come back. They're attentive without hovering. The homemade pasta dishes are all wonderful.. The veal is top notch.
The vodka pasta is by far the best thing on the menu! It is a great creamy red sauce.
Great food and atmosphere.
We couldn't wait for the restaurant to be opened when we were in Culpeper, as we always don't go there and were happy to see it was open one night when we were there. However, the food was fine, the prices were great, the service was mediocre. I don't think we'll go back again. We might if we have no place else better to go, but we were just disappointed with the atmosphere that it was trying to portray. It just wasn't there. The board when you walked in said there were items for the night and when you asked for them we were told they weren't there anymore, but yet they kept it on the board. We ordered an appetizer that didn't come with a serving spoon. The server did not check on our table during the meal. Those types of small things are important to us when we go out for fine dining. We had to ask the serverer for side plates, we had to ask for bread, we had to ask for everything. The server was not very attentive to our table.
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Pretty darn good. No frills even though they present themselves as an up scale eatery. Ask for the bread early. :)Prompt service with friendly faces and excellent food.
Discovered this place one weekend while traveling. Had the apple brandy chicken. It was marvelous. I have dined here several times and have always experienced a great meal. Brett has been my server a few times and he is top notch. Take your time and enjoy a quality meal.
Always feel welcomed. We've been eating at Lucio for several years now and it's truly the best spaghetti I've ever had! Tuesday nights special of angel hair pasta with meat sauce or marinara is the best!
Just made my second visit. And I must say...there will not be a third. Ordered the special. "Stuffed shells with Meatballs and red sauce" I received pre frozen stuffed shells and frozen meatballs cooked to temp and served with red sauce. I also ordered the Beef and Barely soup. After about 10 shakes or salt and pepper it had a little flavor. For an "Italian resturant" they dont cook with very much flavor. My first visit was very similar to this. Very bland food. Again..I wont be back.
This restaurant has never disappointed in terms of food or service. I love going at Christmastime, especially, to see the elegant decorations!
I had a great time last Mother’s Day, I had three manicotti with cream sauce and the soup and salad! It was delicious!
